China Compulsory Product Certification (CCC) is a product conformity assessment implemented by the state in accordance with regulations to protect consumer safety and strengthen product quality management.
At present, products that are subject to mandatory CCC certification cover a total of 17 categories and 103 items, including electronic products and devices such as power banks.
According to the latest update from China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), starting from March 1, 2026, all newly CCC-certified power banks must add a “traceable QR code” next to the existing CCC certification mark.
For products that completed CCC mark labeling in accordance with the then-current requirements before March 1, 2026, and have already left the factory or have already been placed on the market for sale, there is no need to replace the mark. During the one-year transition period specified in the updated policy, these products may still be distributed and sold in accordance with the original requirements.

A：The QR code is mainly used for product information traceability and identification, making it easier for relevant authorities to access product details when needed, such as the production batch, safety certifications obtained, and manufacturer information, in order to further verify product information.
Q：Where is the QR code usually printed? Does every product definitely have a QR code?
A：The QR code location may vary depending on the model, production batch, and packaging version. Since different batches are still circulating in the market, not every sold version has a QR code printed. Generally speaking, if the product body clearly shows the CCC mark, it is still considered a recognizable compliance marking. If any new requirements are introduced later, the official announcements from the relevant Mainland China authorities shall prevail.
Q: Which power bank models currently have a QR code and comply with the updated CCC policy?

A: Yes. If the product already has the CCC mark, it can still be carried onboard during the grace period specified under the updated policy, even if a QR code cannot be reprinted or added. We will continue to monitor policy updates and share announcements through our official channel.
Q : Some models currently on the market do not have a QR code. Will future production batches include a QR code that complies with the new policy?
A : Yes. As long as the product remains covered by a valid CCC certificate, future production under the updated CCC policy will include a QR code that meets the new requirements.
Q: Can I request a reprint or have a QR code added to a power bank I have already purchased?
A: At this time, we are unable to offer QR code reprinting or additional QR code printing. This is due to current regulatory requirements and the lack of official clarification under the updated CCC policy.
Q：If a customer wants to replace a power bank they purchased (without a QR code) with a version that has a QR code, is that possible?
A：Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a replacement. At this stage, products that have already been sold (even without a QR code) can generally still pass customs and be carried on board as long as they comply with the requirement of having the CCC mark, so we cannot arrange exchanges for the QR-code version.
Q：Will power banks without a QR code continue to be sold?
A：Yes. Power banks without a QR code will continue to be sold in the market until the relevant Mainland China authorities officially announce a specific implementation date and detailed requirements.
